We are really looking forward to the possibility of having a Risingmist dog.
Love the fact that you're a family, looking after the dogs to a professional standard in your home, with a whole host of other furry feathery friends too.
Have really enjoyed reading all the help and advice in the forums and reading the suggested reading books.
Many thanks
Lisa, Ian, Sam & Joe (Art & Mog the cats & Ginger & Henri the hens!)
Having previously ( being younger!) being the very proud owner of my other girls who both were afflicted by congenital problems.
Dal was deaf in one ear and cocker with eye problems.
So in short you breed to avoid any close relationship whilst also focused on individuals who have a great health status. If only all breeders had that in mind.
I have been investigating field and Sussex spaniel. In fact, of interest was someone who was breeding working with Sussex to get the hybrid vigour and a dog that suited their needs.
Anyhow enough chat. Thanks for the info.
Thanks
Adam
Hi
My name is Pat and I live in Norfolk on a smallholding. Although I have worked with dogs all my life I am new to the world of Working Cockers so I am hoovering up all the information I can! As my lurcher Gypsy is getting old I am researching getting another puppy so watch this space!
What a lovely article - she sounds dear and I'm so glad the woman is pleased with her.
Does she look quite like one of yours? I really can't remember which is which I'm afraid.
Anyway - well done darling - you certainly know your dogs!
Much love Mx
God no don't worry just didn't want to be too gushing!!!!
So I'm now going to be VERY gushing! My gos she is just the sweetes, cleverest, gentlest dog EVER. I honestly feel sorry for anyone else as she is just perfect.
She is sleeping really well, takes herself off to the crate, sits when she want a cuddle. What I am loveing more than anything else this time is that the kids are benefitting so much by having her around and the are loving it! They groomed her today and she just stood still.
What more can i say? Loads she is picking up on our family routine so well its truly incredible. And Phil is most definitly her man. She canbe anywhere else in house/garden he calls her name and she just bolts for him! Toilet training is going very well too! Only two accidents today, also when outside we say 'business' and she squats! So clever!
Can't thankyou enough for allowing us one of your puppies we really do feel so privilegded How many do you have left at home now? Hope all the other homes have just as much fun with their new family member!
she hardly cried at all all, only went to her once in the night (set my alarm wrong) but no mess at all!
Don't want to say too much as it is early days but my innerseld says 'OMG' shes so good very clam. Had lots of visitors yeasterday and she took it all in her stride. Can't take any credit it all must go to you and nigel!
She already has cottoned on to teh fact that Phil is her 'leader' She has alkready founf a qiuet spot under his computer. She was very funny when girls did their piano practice. Cocker her head to the side!
Thank you so much for allowing us to have one of your very special puppies. She is fantatstic, and so far more than we expected!
Your site is brillian with so much useful advise
Love the mcmahon
